A chat with Check Six, WoW Arena team
Posted Dec 15th 2009 5:00PM by Mike Schramm
They've been playing together for about two or three months, and they practice quite a bit: together, they do about ten or twelve hours a week, but I'd assume they play outside of the team as well. They say that WoW has a pretty "easy skill cap to reach," but after that, it's a matter of getting the right team members together, because they say teamwork is more important in Arenas than even a game like Counter-Strike ("CS"). And they kind of surprised me with how young they are -- it's a big deal to go running around the world and playing in tournaments when you're probably dealing with school and an early career at the same time. It's not the most well produced Arena interview you'll ever see, but I liked the frank look at the guys and what they're like away from their computers.

What a pallid, decrepit, pale and akward looking bunch.

You are the one getting first post trolls on Wow.com
RL? Pro-league? :D? Seriously?

Well, you know what they say. It takes a man to admit he's a troll. It takes a troll to be trolled by another troll. Or something like that, anyways.

Their team composition has been causing quite a bit of an uproar in the arena community. There are some who claim that it does not require much skill to play the team setup they have, as it basically revolves around blowing all their cooldowns in the first 5 seconds of the fight and gibbing one of their opponents before they even have time to react.

Hey Mike, thanks for the plug, but our blog, Sync, is not affiliated with Microsoft at all. Marc Saltzman, our blogger, happened to be attending the Intel gaming event and was able to post this video of the Check Six team. Glad you enjoyed it!

Only 10-12 hours a week, seriously that's probably the lowest of any esports team. The reason they are so good together is because one is a hunter (twixz), one a shaman (flexxi) and other a paladin (toez) They form the complete faceroll comp of "beastcleave". So many retarded mistakes were made by this team it isnt even funny, the comp is so lenient in terms of mistakes that they will win even with flexx having to be reminded to lust. go watch any interview at IEM and they all know checksix was going to win due to their comp.
